Uuuuuum how awesome are these shoes. I found them in NYC at the urbn on 5th avenue. When I saw the $29.99 price tag I was like "for real" because there was another tag that said $315. So I asked the lady "is this for real" pointing at the shoes and she was like "yea I know right?" so yes big freaking score on these babies. Ann Demeulemeester I will have yours one day, but for now this will do!!



Did rebecca's hair today! And she ended up booking a last minute Wen by Chaz dean show tonight! Yeeeea! They'll be on sometime around 10pm-12am pacific on qvc!



we also had dinner at izakaya fu-ga so yums!

Brianna Corrective Color

This is my new client Brianna, isn't she pretty!

Today I did major corrective color work and a cut on her.  She was depositing a level 2 for the past year and a half and had recently had some highlights that were overprocessed.  I removed color using Vanish - it's great as it removes color by breaking down the color molecules which is so much more gentle on the hair then bleaching the color out.  It's also very tricky sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't.  I wanted to get her as light as possible without compromising the integrity of the hair.  As you can see it turned out great!!!

jessi!!!! you might remember her from here!! she went super dark today!! no more fiesty red...for now!! haha! she took a poll on her facebook page last night for blunt or side fringe! i of course, typed out "side" for a change!! so sexy and classy!! yay!! i did my happy dance!!!

..And this is cheryl! OMG i love her! this was her first visit with me! i wish i had taken a before photo but unfortunately i didn't have a camera around until jesse came by the studio to pick me up.

cut: we both agreed that she should have longer hair so i shaped up her haircut with some layers! i can't wait till it gets longer! i just love long hair!! especially when their hair texture has waves in it. there's nothing better! :) can you tell that i'm really into this whole long hair, hair thing at the moment!?! haha luckily my clients are too!! it's summer!! summer should be about long, pretty hair especially in california!! looooooove!!!

color: she had about 8 weeks of regrowth of her natural hair color and the color she previously had was a bit brassy in my eyes. so today i did a glossing on her which is basically a mixture of MAJIREL (color line I use and love), vegetable color, WEN cleansers, and WEN essential oils. i made her color deeper and richer!! so pretty. the color compliments her skin tone so much!! i was sooooo happy that she loved it that i did my happy dance again!!!

here's a color tip for everyone: whenever you have color make sure you cleanse, yes cleanse, your hair with WEN cleanser since it contains no sulfates and no harsh detergents. your color will last much much longer. also when cleansing hair always use cool to lukewarm water. think of it this way, hot water opens up the cuticle of the hair and releases the color while cool water seals the cuticle helping the color last much longer as well as help keep shine in your hair :)

Desiree and Sunshine

this is desiree! isn't she pretty! omg! it's been forever since she had a cut. so today i took a couple inches off and gave her more layers to get rid of all that weight so she can rock her natural soft waves.

I love long hair in general, but i especially love long hair in the summer!!! i just love it! it's so easy to manage because you have that option of being lazy and when you do, you get that tousled beachy look (with the right products WEN Cleanser (as a leave in) and Wen Styling Creme applied when wet and i just let it air dry). And if you decide to blow it out and style it, it becomes this bombshell hair. just love it! (and you can tell she does too)





On the way home we went to my friend's vintage store which is right around the corner from our new loft! It's called Raggedy Threads and if you are ever in the arts district you have to check it out!

ps. check out this rad before & after mother & daughter haircuts by Chaz and I. Chaz did Mom while I did the cute fashion designer daughter Aanika(so sorry if i'm spelling your name wrong!). We did a color conditioning aromatherapy mask (which is a mixture of all the wen cleansers and wen oils and vegetable color) for extra hydration and moisture. Check out how it made her color more rich and how much it brought her hair back to life! The mask is custom made for each client when done at our studio.
