A day at the salon.

went to the studio to do some hair. jesse came along so we can eat lunch together, yummers! while waiting he got his hair cut by chaz, yeeea! it's super rad. i wish you can see his profile, it's a very ewan mcgregor haircut! and while i was waiting for my client's hair to process, cynthia blew my hair out, it looks peeeeerrrty. so we took pictures! :)

these shoes are so awesome. and i can't believe i don't wear them more often. but honestly they have a 5 hour wear time. we went to the beverly center after work and my feet were killing me and then some girl came dying over my shoes and made the pain all worth it.

susan loves the boss.

this is my client susan she loves bruce springsteen. she's super sweet and gets my sense of humor, love it and she's just plain awesome!! i first started doing susan back in may of this year and due to her busy schedule and living in the virgin islands, it was a little difficult for her to come and see me more often, haha. today we did her color. i added two different tones of highlights (done with high-lift color and low volume peroxide) and two different tones of lowlights to add dimension. i also did a cut on her. i got rid of her "triangle" that we joke about and added some shaggy layers to get rid of the all that weight that was weighing her hair down. i think she looks faaaaaancy. :)

Canadian Thanksgiving.

Canadian Thanksgiving : Yes it's true. Canadians have a different Thanksgiving than Americans do. There doesn't seem to be a good reason for it (if you do bother to read that wikipedia link...)
Here are some pix from that night. We did turkey breast and legs on the BBQ because there were no fresh turkeys at Whole Foods (like don't they know it's Canadian Thanksgiving!) We also made all the usual fixins and some short ribs that didn't exist long enough to get photographed.
